Much of my inspiration comes from the 1940's to 1950's. I also read a lot of history and incorporate what I read into my designs. Plays and musicals influence me, especially those that are set in the post-war eras. I have recently found and admire the work of Isabelle de Borchgrave. A Belgian artist, she constructs garments that are replicas of the authentic garments. The amazing part of her work is that she uses paper to make these. Called pulp fashion, she has many displays around the world of her artwork. Designers also inspire me. Coco Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Ralph Lauren, and Vera Wang's work amazes and urges me to push my own limits.
