     These pictures come from some of my work on Fairmont State University's Summer Theatre production of South Pacific. Set during WWII, South Pacific required us to find research that we could use for the show while keeping in mind that this was a play, not real life. Meaning, that we could alter the looks of some of the garments we already had and add embellishments, collars, or change the skirt if necessary.

 The bodice of the dress used pleats in the center front to give contour and fullness. The bodice was constructed with five small pieces not including lining pieces.
